    Bob,

    A few years back there was a discussion on my use of the term " time hack ".  It seemed that most military folk used the word as a verb, as in " Hack your watch " or the request on the radio " time hack".

    I am sure it came from the watch we were issued that stopped the second hand when you pulled out the winding knob - a hack watch. When the captain woukd tell us to " hack your watches on my mark -5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Hack!"   Not once in 20 years in the USAF did I here anyone say " syncronize your watch."
