    I will forget about the moon and concentrate on venus for the next few days. Thur and fri  are forecast to be similar to today but sat and sun should be clear skies all day.

    On saturday 2020/4/4 0300 UT

    Venus  az 004°  alt 25°

    Sun  az 313°   alt 30°

    Will it be possible to see venus with the sun this close to the planet? What is the optimum configuration of the sun and venus for maximum reflection from venus and minimum light pollution from the sun?

    I suspect that you will tell me to apply optical principles but after many decades I cannot remember what they are (-;
