Early risers not averse to a bit of cheating could always wait until mid-August. Calculate the time of sunrise. Start observing during morning twilight. Identify Venus in the east. Follow it beyond sunrise time. Claim success. Have an early breakfast. Weak excuse, there’s often less cloud to the east at sunrise than to the west at sunset. DaveP
