Venus phase correction

Some time ago I worked out how to apply a "phase correction" to Venus. My intent was to duplicate the values in the Nautical Almanac. I generally succeeded, but my best match was for when I computed the correction only once at the start of the day and used that same correction for the entire day.
After Kermit posted on this subject, I decided to write-up what I did and provide to this forum.
