Interesting, I just had dinner at the Tadich Grill last night, unfortunately, they didn't have sand dabs on the menu.
Since Frank will be up in Marin, if it works out, I'd suggest Fish in Sausalito, with a look to see MATTHEW TURNER and SEAWARD.

Regarding your referenced trip to San Francisco, should you have time for some good eating, my I suggest the following. Taddish Grill on California Ave.,for lunch or dinner. For a nice dinner, Le Central, on Bush. It's been some years since we enjoyed the above mentioned, but they were both long running operations. As memory serves, there were some good fish eateries in same area as Le Central. Enjoy the trip.
