Thank you for sharing your excellent graph of moonrise deltas over a 38-year period for Anakiwa (41S 174E).  It proves the average of 50 minutes later each day and shows the shortest delta there is 17 minutes. Between the dates in my post, 22^nd and 23^rd November (NZ daylight time), I calculate the delta (between Moon sets) at Anakiwa was 22.9 minutes.  On that day, you would have to have travelled South to 59° 32’S for the sets to be within 24 hours.

Thank you also for listing the RTS deltas which gives me a useful opportunity to cross check my own values. As Taylor Point is almost exactly the same latitude (in that other hemisphere) as Anakiwa, the Moon rise delta that it lists between those days is a very similar 22.72 minutes later.

 PS. I have fond memories of Anakiwa!  As tourists, my wife and I stayed at Tirimoana House (Sunrise Room), later whilst tramping, we had welcome refreshment at a café nearby (Blistered Foot?) and not so long ago we anchored off the wharf (sheltering from katabatic gusts to seaward) whilst chartering from Waikawa.
