    Most of the list is sort of familiar (read - "I understand what you are talking about") but I'm yet to try it in reality.

    In particular - as Herman asked - the range to another vessel by measuring the angle between it's waterline and the horizon beyond could be known through some clever usage on the Dip Short Correction table, I must find out how exactly. :)
