I bought a Russian SNO-T from India. It was functional when I got it. The packing was not the best (the legs got bent). There was a minor separation on the 4x scope objective (I would expect this in any old optics).
I really like the sextant and was generally satisfied with my purchase. My suggestion would be to familiarize yourself with the sextant you plan to buy and ask all the pertinent questions B4 purchase.
I would not hesitate to purchase sextant from the Indian sellers - I know little about the Russian sellers. I can highly recommend the SNO-T (Bill Morris does also).
