That's great! Thank you (each of you) for pointing out this location at Widemouth Bay. I had scanned up the coast from the immediate vicinity of the RAF airfield this afternoon and gave up maybe three miles south of the right spot! Here's my attempt to get the 3-dim view right in Google Maps compared with the original photo. The primary feature that I was looking for, which I was sure would remain even after half a century, was a curved road with a little housing development. Turns out that curved road is called "The Crescent" and, sure enough, it's still there.
