The surrounds and shape of the Southern end of Marine Drive is the positive identification of position! In non-Covid times, Bude Jazz Club host good jazz events at the Falcon Hotel in Bude 3 miles North of there.

When I saw the photo I thought Shackleton. Then I noticed that that the file is named shackleton.jpg. A coincidence? If I knew where these aircraft were based I suppose I could get onto google earth and find the spot. Or use some sophisticated pattern matching software to search google earth. I am sure there has been a thread about cruise missles using this navigation technique.
