Tony
Its from The Express,
My biggest shock upon reading the explanation there is that they didn't attribute it to ancient aliens.

Hello!
Here Frank said:
In aviation, commercial flights are prohibited from flying over Antarctica
Why is that? Is it for safety reasons?
I can't see any difference between dying in bitter-cold waters of southern seas (when avoiding to enter Antarctica's latitudes) and freezing to death in the midst of Antarctica itself.
Or is it for ecological reasons - not to spoil Antactica with airplanes' debris? Or simply the fuel-savings are not big enough to validate all the risks?
Please comment.
Warm regards,
Tony
