    Winter celestial navigation workshops
    From: Frank Reed
    Date: 2021 Jan 13, 13:21 -0800

It's time for the next run of workshops. Starting in ten days and continuing through February into March. Read more and register on my website: ReedNavigation.com. I just completed a special three-day workshop for the curatorial team from the Royal Observatory, Greenwich UK (the folks with the prime meridian in their backyard). That workshop combined Celestial Navigation in the Age of Sail and Lunars: Finding Longitude by Lunar Distances both of which I'm teaching again in the next few weeks.

    Starting with modern celestial:
Modern Celestial ONE: Sextants & Sun Sights is up first with Atlantic sessions Sat/Sun, Jan 23-24, starting at 11:00am Eastern US time (1600 UT) OR, if it's better for your time zone or personal schedule, Pacific sessions Mon/Tue/Wed, Jan 25-27, starting at 6:00pm (2300 UT).

Two weeks later, as a sequel:
Modern Celestial TWO: Position Fixes & Star Sights with Atlantic sessions Sat/Sun, Feb 6-7, starting at 11:00am EST (1600 UT) OR, Pacific sessions Mon/Tue/Wed, Feb 8-10, starting at 6:00pm EST (2300 UT).

If you prefer historical celestial navigation:
Celestial Navigation in the Age of Sail with Atlantic sessions Sat/Sun, Jan 30-31, starting at 11:00am EST (1600 UT) OR, Pacific sessions Mon/Tue/Wed, Feb 1-3, starting at 6:00pm EST (2300 UT).

    Followed two weeks later by:
Lunars: Finding Longitude by Lunar Distances with Atlantic sessions Sat/Sun, Feb 13-14, starting at 11:00am EST (1600 UT) OR, Pacific sessions Mon/Tue/Wed, Feb 15-17, starting at 6:00pm EST (2300 UT).

There are also sessions of Traditional Celestial Navigation and Advanced Modern Celestial Navigation in late February and into mid-March. Details on my website:
    ReedNavigation.com.

If you have attended any of my online workshops/classes previously, you may repeat that workshop (exact same workshop) for a small "seat fee" of $19.95 as many times as you want. Need a refresher after a year? No problem. Just register at the repeat rate.
