Dear David,
I did two attempts to solve the problem, both on paper.
At first I took a plain A4 and lined it up. Wanting a more clear (and precise) solution I used an universal plotting sheet for the second approach. I only "cheated" to calculate the travel between the sights and the travel from the fix to the point at 12:00 - I used a 12cm slide rule for those.
Now I wonder how actually difficult is it to measure those small ZDs on a yacht? Will I need a bubble sextant?
Regards,
Tony
