Sean,
I have been using the zero mag bubble AH sight tube on my Astra and Alpha, it also takes some getting used to.
I found too much glare and distortion on the bubble in bright sunlight conditions and found a bit of clear tape over the light aperture sorted that problem.
Still not as accurate as I would like.
Practice is the message I guess.
