Sean,
The reason I have started using the bubble sight tube is I run out of arc on the sextant when I utilise the Davis AH taking noon shots and there abouts during the summer months. Lat being around 33.53 South.
I plan to buy a standard sight tube in the near future.
Whilst still not as accurate as I would like my sight accuracy is slowly improving as I get the hang of controlling the bubble from moving.
