I suspect that the conclusions included in the paragraph appearing in Andres post are more right than anything else. Still, I doubt that the advent of other methods, electronic or others yet undiscovered will spell the end of old fashioned Celestial Navigation, that is unless all the sextants disappeared, no replacements being available. Of course, the fore going are merely my opinion.
