We are on a TC 171.8d, speed 10 Kts. Var 20dE, Dev 3dE. Our last
position FIX was (32d 24.9'S  172d 53.5'E) 06:10:10GMT @ 20/01/1999.
We have been sailing under a solid overcast. But now the clouds are 
breaking up. On the evening of 22/02/1999 we manage the following sights.

We are inside the bight between New Zealands's North and South Islands
headed for Cook Strait and Wellington. Speed, Current, Var & Dev remain
the same.

3)  What is the Compass Course(CC)/Course-to-Steer for our waypoint
    N of Stephens Island(40d 50.0'S 174d 00.0'E)?

Checking our chart from the waypoint we see that it is approximately
50 mi to Wellington. The wind is increasing and we reef the mainsail. 
Speed is 9.3 Kts.

6)  What is the Estimated Time of Arrival at Wellington in 
    Zone Time(ZT) from the waypoint?

From the time of our arrival at the waypoint N of Stephens Is. we have 
been using Pilotage for our navigation. The sea in Cook Strait are
approximately 6-8ft(2-2.5mtrs), moderate waves with many whitecaps and 
some spray.

ltrs). Fuel Tanks = 155 gal(700 ltrs). Fuel consumption .675 gal/Hr at 8.5
Kts. DR(Ded-Reckoning)=position by sailings, EP(Estimated Position)=DR+current
affect. Dist to Horizon: Nmi = SQRT HE@mtrs x 2.07; Nmi = SQRT HE@ft x 1.17.
