A few days ago another privately built and operated spacecraft was launched toward the Moon. It's the Intuitive Machines Odysseus lander. It will attempt to land near the Moon's south pole (about 80° S latitude on the Moon) in five days.
The spacecraft took this interesting photo of the nearly Full Earth. There's a navigation puzzle here. Where are you? You should be able to determine your approximate position in three dimensions by examining this photo looking down on the Earth. The image alone will suffice, but I've included a clue to get you rolling. See it?
Do you think it will be a successful landing? Do you like to gamble?? It appears that Intuitive Machines, which has existed as a private company for over a decade, is now publicly-traded, listed on Nasdaq, and has been so for three whole days. You can buy stock in this lunar lander. Place your bet. :)
