Very sad to hear the news that Ed Popko has passed on. We had quite a bit of contact over the years and he always had deep and helpful insights to contribute.
Perhaps in his honour it would be a good time to reread his paper on the Lindbergh-Weems Pilot's Watch https://navlist.net/LindberghWeems-SecondSetting-Pilot-s-Watch-Updated-Paper-EdPopko-nov-2021-g51514 which I know he spent a great deal of time and effort preparing,
