Hey, Frank, thank you. I start a course tomorrow. Maybe something in the Middletown water enables ESP in alums?
I was digging around on quora yesterday looking for questions and answers related to celestial navigation. There are very few. When I searched on "sextant" I found a reply under the question "What is the most useless thing you ever bought?" It was from a naval reservist who sais he was "manic" when he bought a sextant in Brussels in 2002. He counted that as the most useless thing he ever bought. The guy is a bit "out there" (maybe more than 'a bit') so I don't take his opinion all that seriously, but it's a story you may be able to use as an opening joke in a celestial lesson.
