Dear Tracy,
After comparing your photos with mine, I think you're right. The erased markings, the added ones with a different typeface, the second hole on the overlays between 35-85 degrees (but not on the 5-25 degree ones), the highlighted "CPU-50A/P" text in the manual, as much as the way the overlays are attached to the index arm, all suggest that my strafinder is an ex CPU-50A/P. Maybe surplus or decommissioned materiel modified to be sold.
