Just checked my 2102-B and 2102-C, neither of which is equipped with a center pin so am not able to comment on their longevity in this respect, although perhaps otherwise somewhat out of date - oh, well at the $1.00 price, it seems to have been a pretty good deal. Regardless, since the advent of HO 249 I have found little use for any other star finder - just pure laziness, I guess.
