LOL. Just so you understand, I don't literally count the messages. The list archive does:

For newcomers to the list, if you're overwhelmed by the message volume you can set the list to NOMAIL and read the messages there. I usually read in the archives first and ony read the e-mail copies when I see something I want to answer. Also, there's plenty of great stuff in the archives from the past couple of years, and it's worth some browsing. Be aware that perhaps one message in 250 does not make it to the archive for some reason or another.
The total for this month stands at 611 messages.
