    Yes, it is that.  The "A Manual of" part was not printed on the spine.
    
    My copy has a page following the title page but before the preface
    which states that "the following pages [the entire book!] are printed
    from the stereotype plates of the Appendix to the author's Manual of
    Spherical and Practical Astronomy, without any change in the numbering
    of the pages or of the tables."  I am not quite sure what this means...
    
    I am glad to hear that there is a Dover reprint.  It is a great book!
