    Yes I have a manual but as far as the first question is concerned, the protubing height of the spider above the recording plastic drum is too small to enable me to lift it with my fingers. Either the available grip is too small for my large fingers or it (the spider) is stuck on its base. As I don't know how it is connected below the drum (the drum hides the mechanisms behind it) I don't dare pulling the spider up with too much force. I think I could use pliers but I fear doing something wrong or damaging the mechanisms. Do you have any suggestion as I understand that you have a knowledge of the exact layout of the spider/recording drum assembly?
