Hello all,
Some of you noticed that files from Gary late yesterday and earlier today were generating errors on the web site and in the daily digests. It's a simple issue, but it would be a real nuisance to fix right now. So for the time being, please avoid using "unusual" characters in file names that you have attached or uploaded. Specifically, avoid the "degree" symbol in file names. Degree symbols and other special characters are fine in the subject and text of messages and in any text within attachments. You only need to avoid special characters in the names of the files. As an example, suppose you have a photo file showing unusual refraction on a hot day while visiting northern Greece. Suppose you have named it:
"30°C refraction in Θεσσαλονίκη.jpg".
You should change that to:
"30C refraction in Thessalonika.jpg"
before attaching it.
Thanks.
