Sunrise is a theoretical construct, proposed by philosophers as a
logical extension of sunset. Since one exists, the other must exist
too. No civilized person that I ever met has actually seen a sunrise.

Hello Geoffrey,
It once happened to me one morning that, jogging on a course close to 110° alongside the beach in Santo Domingo next to Punta Cana, on my left side and in the exact direction I was staring into and just at the horizon which was very clear and sharp over the Carribean Sea :
- I saw a green flash (my most beautiful one ever) which turned into "flashing white" within less than two seconds, and
- I saw THE Sunrise on that one occasion
(un?)civilized :-) Regards from
Kermit
... but we haven't mat, have we ? :-) + :-)
