Had some problems when I first tried using an artificial horizon. For the most part it turned out that Murphy's Laws, the one about "the manual being the last thing looked at or to ..." still apply. When I actually read the instructions, and followed them, my sights improved greatly. Good luck with the Tamaya.
Additionally, seems that re the quality of sights, I read somewhere the following. The first 1000 will show improvemwent, the next 1000 will show even greater improvement.
