Patrick,
You are ready to start using the Marcq St-Hilaire method to determine a line of position by calculating an azimuth and intercept from an assumed position. Go to Henning Umlands introduction and tutorial at:
http://www.celnav.de/index.htm
Also pick up a copy of CALCULATOR AFLOAT by H.H. Shufeldt and Kenneth Newcomer. There are several used copies in very good condition on amazon.com at good prices. If you don't have a digital watch and scientific calculator then you will need these as well. I like the Canon F-710 scientific calculator and Armitron digital watch because they are good values and use the same type of common long lasting battery.
