Hello all,
I haven't been around for awhile but I have a good excuse, I was putting
28,000+ nm of ocean under the keel in the last 7 months. The trip took me
from the Indian ocean to the US east coast, then to the US Gulf. From
there it was off to several ports in West Africa (including going up the Congo
River) then to South Africa and finally a great circle track to Cape Town, SA
where I finally departed at 205 days.
The best part of the trip was that I was given command from the US Gulf
Coast to South Africa, which sadly reduced my shooting schedule. Still
there were a number of wonderful evenings for stars and I took full advantage of
it.
Once I get a bit more organized here at home, I will find a few of the more
interesting sights I shot during the trip and post
some.
