    I don't know about air navigation, but a lot of small boat (yacht)
    navigators prefer the Air Almanac because it's quicker to reduce sights
    by hand and they can't get more precise than 1.0 arcminutes due to the
    instability of their platform.  Nowadays, however, few use celestial,
    so the demand may be dropping.  It sure is a nice backup, however, for
    electronics on a small boat, not to mention the remote possibility of
    lifeboat navigation.
