I've sailed on the "The Lady" many times including one three day passage from Ventura to Monterey, against the wind and current, decks constantly awash from the high waves on the bow (thank heaven for high coamings) . I disembarked on the pier and didn't look back. (My hard won advice, book passage on a southbound leg.)
