    Re: An All-Haversine Azimuth (from Lat, Dec and dLon alone)?

    Tony, you asked for "formula, for an All-Haversine one, which I enter with the Lat, Dec (or LatDest) and dLon to obtain - in one go, no matter how long or complicated, - the initial azimuth".

    I hope it is allowed to include inverse haversines (here called archav) as well, then you have

    hav azimuth = numerator / denominator, where

    numerator =  sqroot( {1 - hav[φ + δ + archav[ hav(φ-δ) + (1 - hav(φ+δ) - hav(φ-δ)*hav t]} · hav(φ - δ+ archav[hav(φ-δ) + (1 - hav(φ+δ) - hav(φ-δ))·hav t]), and

    denominator = (1-2·havφ) · sqroot( hav(2 · archav[ hav(φ-δ) + (1 - hav(φ+δ) - hav(φ-δ)·hav t ] ) );

    where φ is latitude, δ is declination and t is hour angle.
