Hi Sean
For quite awhile, I was extensively using it to identify 'bright stars' from the Astronomical Almanac. At the time, I was under the mistaken impression that star to star distances could be used to calibrate the arc. I have since been thoroughly convinced otherwise.
In use, the Sky Scout performs as advertised. It can lead you right to (almost) any object you want. Its quick and effective. Getting a GPS fix can be a lengthy process. You have to be careful of external magnetic influences.
I'm happy with mine.
Brad

About how often do you use it? What do you think of it?
Thanks,
Sean C.
