My previous message said there was no refraction as observer was in outer space.
That is not accurate. There is no refraction of celestial bodies as the index of refraction at the observer and the body are the same ie n =1.
However the horizon and observer are in different index medium. Just the reverse of the usual situation, observer is in space and body ( horizon ) is at surface of the earth. Therefore horizon refraction is opposite sign but of magnitude you would have for body with altitude of dip.
