The Vega Deneb distance was made at UT 2:25:00 9/16/2012 from Lat. 34* 10.4' N Lon. 119* 13.8' W
The Alioth Alkaid distance was made at UT 3:05:00
Temp. 72* F
Pressure 29.99 in.
The only reason to get extra precise on this is if sextant arc error is to determined. I'm looking to just get a verification of index error to a few tenths so rounding is ok.
Calibrating the camera using low magnitude stars isn't going to work since the star images are fat and not symmetrical. The best way to do camera calibration at this point seems to be by Venus or Jupiter lunar where the Moon limb and planet are better defined using a faster shutter speed.
