    You understand perfectly! At least I imagine you do.

    But seriously, the errors typically result in, for instance, an incorrect DR position, so every position after it has to be checked.  But I can't simply give credit for a correct answer.  Everything has to be checked. Every so often a correct answer is reached incorrectly, but those are usually easier to spot.

    So if a student, say, because of a multiplication error, obtains an out of range argument for an arc function and proceeds happily with a complex angle he still gets points? Imaginary points, at least?
