    Alex Eremenko asked, about the translation of Mayer's description, in
    Latin, of his repeating circle, written in 1744-5, and published by
    Maskelyne in 1770 as part of Mayer's "Tabulae Motuum Solis et Lunae".

    >Where is this translation posted?
    >(Or how otherwise I can get it?)

    =============

    Patience, Alex, patience. The Australian translators and I are in the late
    stages of polishing the thing up, between us. They have kindly given me
    permission to do what I wish with their translation, and the first thing I
    will do is to post it to Nav-l. It won't be a long wait, I reckon. A couple
    of weeks, maybe.

    It's good to know that there's interest in it.

    Tnanks to Steven Wepster for sending me the photocopy that triggered it all off.

    George.
