    not sure how practicable this is, but if you need a sidereal clock, then replacing the crystal in a quartz-movement clock keeping solar mean time might be an idea. A second of UT1 equals 1.002737909 seconds mean sidereal time. The crystal used in a solar time clock oscillates at 327680 Hz, multiplying that by the conversion rate to get from solar to sidereal units equals the period of 32857.7 Hz for the required crystal. There remains the matter of finding a supplier who will agree to sell one 1 unit only and arranging to have the crystal replaced. The mechanical route is a different story altogether, perhaps easier, if more expensive.
