Bowditch for Celestial Navigation. Get an older copy of Bowditch. I have a copy of Vol I 1977 and Vol II 1975. The new edition of Bowditch, I believe 1995, has a lot of the celestial stuff stripped out. In NO way pay over about maybe $15.00 a volume. $125 is outrageous. I also saw a 1966 one volume edition of Bowditch at the Book Baron in Fullerton for $95.00. I went down the road to a little store called The Book Fair in the next town over and got the exact same book for $15.00! The Book Baron in Anaheim has a lot of Duttons circa 1950s for about $7.00 to $10.00. Not a bad book either. Bowdich from about 1938 on is a very common book I have seen it in several used book stores for $10.00 to $25.00 Also check http://www.abe.com the advanced book exchange on the net. -- Gordon -- ,,, (. .) +-------------------------ooO-(_)-Ooo-----------------------+ | Gordon Talge WB6YKK e-mail: gtalge@pe.net | | Department of Mathematics __ Long Beach, CA | | Wilson High School / / __ _ _ _ _ __ __ | | (o- Debian / GNU / / /__ / / / \// //_// \ \/ / | | //\ /____/ /_/ /_/\/ /___/ /_/\_\ | | v_/_ The Choice of the GNU Generation | | .oooO | | - E Aho Laula - ( ) Oooo. - Wider is Better - | + -----------------------\ (---( )-------------------------+ \_) ) / (_/
