    I understand your position and trust your knowledge. At the moment I
    don't want to delve into how the 1.06 was arrived at, I just need to
    know how to apply it, so I'll restate the question.
    
    If I use the Table 12 formula to arrive at distance to horizon, that
    distance is along the surface (circumference) of the earth. If I want to
    solve for straight-line distance from eye to horizon, do I multiply the
    Table 12 distance by 1.06, or divide it by 1.06?
