I understand why the bris sextant's calibration table would eliminate the need for all of the normal corrections for a sun sight, except one. Example: If you set up the calibration table for a "height of eye" of 8 feet, my thinking is that you would still have to correct for a height of eye that is either greater or less than 8 feet. Anyone else given this any thought? The instructions seem to indicate that you wouldn't need to make any further corrections. I wonder, since height of eye is typically such a small correction, if the instructions just choose to ignore it. Thoughts anyone!
