For some time now I've been wanting one of these. In lieu of having a clock or watch with a known rate of error, I'd like to try a watch that is claimed to be accurate to within ten seconds per year. The watch starts at about $300 for the "economy" model, but of course, the one I had my eye on is $700. Well, recently I found it online for an amazing 70% off, so I ordered it. The watch arrived today and my first impression: Holy cow, this thing is as heavy as a brick! Quite a difference from my titanium Casio. Otherwise, it's a fine piece of jewelry. Very snazzy.

I still plan on testing it, although not as thoroughly as Gary did with his digitals. I'm just going to set it once and then check it maybe every week for a year and see if it lives up to the manufacturer's claims. I have seen other tests of the same watch online which seem to validate them. I'll be wearing the watch the entire time which should help regulate the temperature of the timepiece. I'll post a few updates now and then.
