But a precision rotary table is related to another experiment. Or you have this piece of equipment as well? In your previous message you mention that all needed equipment is available on e-bay. Perhaps. From time to time I look for a theodolite there, and the price of a Wild T2 that you mention is well over 1000 bucks, usually closer to 2000. They rarely mention the angle resolution of theodolites on e-bay (as it happens with sextants, the sellers usually have no idea what the instrument is for, and do not answer technical questions). Few Russian theodolites I saw are cheaper than T2 but in most cases I don't know how accurate they are. Some are mentioned with 5" resolution which is the bare minimum for sextant testing.
