To anyone interested, I did not state a price, but subsequent inquiries were told that they were $10 each plus $4.95 shipping. I also explained that the cases were cracked and the staples in the instruction manuals were rusted. But the computers themselves are in good shape. The $10 is just to cover the effort to dig them out and pack them up for shipping. Ken/ Celestaire On Jun 22, 2008, at 12:54 AM, Gary J. LaPook wrote:
Definately not a Polhemus. When I get home I will post more information on it. Didn't Ken say, a while ago, that he had some of them left at Celestaire and didn't he offer to give them away to anyone interested? They are interesting devices and provide a very convient way to plot fixes. It is what I use to plot fixes in the air. gl

At any rate, I got one of those on EBay a year or so ago but haven't had time to play with it yet, though with several of us re-visiting the "manual plotting mode" I did break it out and put it on my "To Do" pile. So maybe a bunch of us can learn how to work that one together, at least we've got a resident expert (i.e. Gary) to run questions by if needed. -- GregR --- d walden <waldendand@yahoo.com> wrote:Re: Celestial up in the air I have just received a Polhemus computer from Celestaire. The instructions include a slightly manufactured example such as you requested. They are great items. I would heartly suggest their purchase to all bubble sextant owners. The manual isa goodprimeron aerial celestial. Thanks to Gary, I've recently aquired 4-5 flight computers of various types. (they can be had on ebay for $5-10). Very interesting!
