    In addition wo Fred's remark,
I want to add that a set of prisms gives
    you much more flexibility.
My experience shows that stars observations
are less accurate than observations involving Sun.
But with Sun lunars there are many problems,
    especially in the Midwest:-)
You need BOTH Sun and Moon unobscured by the clouds,
and of course there are too many blackout days when
the phase of the Moon is not appropriate.
