I have a CB-1 booklet as well, and cannont find the computer. All I know is that wind scale is easier to use than the older American Airlines A,B,C, & D models and it was designed by CB Bassett an American Airlines Captain with no patent number. The CB-1 wind scale is for hight seepd jet aircraft. Apparently Jeppesen chose Lahr's simpler wind scale and the R2 (later CR) wind scale became the staindard. Ray Lahr, a United Airlines Captain holds the patten for that computer. It became the standard. I'm not sure that Jeppesen manfactured many of the CB-1 computers. The date on my Jeppesen Model R-2 Jepco Briefing Booklet is 1957, the date on my Jeppesen Model CB booklet is 1958, and the date on my Jeppesen Model CR booklet is 1959. Very few pilots today understand or have a use for these devices.
