    I don't really have anything more to add here. If it intrigues you to try the approach I suggested, then please do and let's hear how it works out. I would be interested to see if you can beat my 111 bytes per day (Sun, Moon, 4 nav planets, for one arcsecond accuracy using plain linear interpolation).

    For Peter, as a word of advice, integers are your friend. ;)
