Dear Otto, I remember your interest in cylindrical slide rules, and the MHR1. I wonder if you are still keeping an eye on Navlist? If not, I should bring to your attention some recent discussion about the MHR1. This included a contribution by Serge Savoysky, in NavList 3044, attaching a paper he has written in French on the MHR1. And a response by Ronald van Riet, an owner of a MHR1, offering to translate and develop that paper. No doubt, these characters are well known to you in your slide-rule society.
