    That reminds me of a lady I know who owns a chain of restaurants.  She
    never eats out at other people's restaurants because she knows how
    dirty they can get!
    
    I too write software for a living, but I trust electronic charts, at
    least as much as I trust paper charts.  Both can have errors, but with
    more emphasis being put on the use of electronic charts, over time
    ELECTRONIC charts are going to be the ones to trust, as they will have
    more scrutiny and more users making sure that they are accurate and
    match reality.  Of course the difference may be less if the source of
    the electronic charts and paper charts is a single common electronic
    source (which I think is the way things are moving as well).
